The Enhanced Patch Analysis is an analysis performed on the HP Software management server. This includes an investigation of the current patch level with regards to HP Software application specific patches as well as recommended operating system patches. After analysis of the current patch level and the currently available patches, you will be given a recommendation of patches to be installed for both the management server and agent related components of the HP Software application. This recommendation will be reviewed with you, after which a customized bundle of the appropriate patches will be provided for you to install.
The Enhanced Patch Analysis is more than the priority patch notification of HP Software Premier Services and HP Software Critical Premier Services, which focuses on notifying you of critical patches. With the Enhanced Patch Analysis, other patches are taken into consideration too and, after a review with you, a customized patch bundle will be provided.
The Enhanced Patch Analysis is not limited to one HP Software application, it can be used for any combination of HP Software products covered by your HP Software Premier Services or HP Software Critical Premier Services support contract. Additional HP Software Specialist Team Days may need to be purchased to cover additional systems and management servers or to increase the frequency of the analysis. |

In order for HP to deliver this technical service, the customer must:
- Ensure that system hardware, software and network connections for the Software management server is fully operational (installed, configured and tested)
- Designate a single staff member who will be responsible for directing service delivery and providing HP with required information and resources in a timely manner; the customer must also designate an operating system and network administrator with centralized responsibility and capable of addressing system and network issues
- Plan appropriately for activities that may require an application or system to be restarted or taken down temporarily
