HP Self-Healing Services 2.60 Available in December 2006

HP Self-Healing Services Client 2.60 is the standalone version of the client bundled with HP Service Desk version 5.1. ADS client 2.60 will include all the 2.50 version and will feature a lighter footprint. This version of the client is scheduled for release in December 2006.

HP Self-Healing Services 2.50 released for Service Desk Customers

HP Self-Healing Services Client 2.50 is now automatically installed with HP Service Desk version 5.1. SHS Client 2.50 is faster and easier to install and configure. It is installed with the HP Software application installer and includes the latest OV common component set. HP Self-Healing Client 2.50 can be configured to monitor your HP Software products locally, and it can be optionally configured to connect to HP for Software fault analysis. HP Self-Healing Services 2.50 is not available as a separate download.

HP Self-Healing Services 1.40 is obsolesced

HP Self-Healing Client 1.40 has been moved to a state of obsolescence and is no longer available for download.A migration guide is available for transitioning from ADS 1.40 to ADS 2.50 and 2.60.

Easily installed and configured

HP Self-Healing Services is installed in two steps.
  1. Install the HP Self-Healing Services client on each of the HP Software systems you wish to monitor.
  2. Optionally install the ISEE client on at least one system with internet access.
Configuration is as easy as filling in your contact information and system handle in the browser-based HP Self-Healing Services user interface.

Secure data transfer using HP ISEE

HP Self-Healing Services utilize HP Instant Support Enterprise Edition (ISEE) to securely transmit troubleshooting data from your system to a secure server at HP. Secure communications between client and server is implemented using HTTP encrypted with RC4 private-key encryption and machine to machine X.509v3 digital certificate authentication. Purchasing the ISEE service is not required for use with Automated Diagnostic Support (ADS). Configurable to match your environment

The HP Self-Healing Services user interface provides you with the ability to customize the actions it takes to match the needs of your OpenView environment. You can set the Self-Healing rules for each error message to submit incidents immediately, or place them on hold in order to review them before deciding to submit them for analysis. You can also filter out any data that you prefer not to send to the HP analysis server.

View and filter data collected by the HP Self-Healing Services client

You can easily view all of the data collected by the HP Self-Healing Services client. If necessary you can also exclude individual files from being submitted to the HP analysis server.
