HP managed services consolidates on HP OpenView products & HP OpenView premier service
Managed Services within Hewlett-Packard provides outsourcing services to corporate clients such as Proctor & Gamble, Ericsson, Bank of Ireland and Canadian Bank of Commerce. HP Managed Services has standardized its global outsourcing services, not surprisingly, on HP OpenView products. After deciding to move to IT Service Management compliance, HP Managed Services looked at tools in that space and HP OpenView Service Management solutions were their strongest choice.
However, finding the best tool for the job was only part of the solution. The solution is complemented with an HP OpenView Premier Service contract that provides HP Managed Services with a named engineer dedicated to the customer, who makes sure the customer has an expert available who not only understands the appropriate HP OpenView products, but also is familiar with the customer environment. For example, when call comes in about a specific problem, instead of addressing the specific technical issue, the named engineer attempts to understand why and how the related product feature is being used and essentially offers an implementation approach that better addresses the customer's objectives while taking into account the customer's process flow, frequency of incoming calls and other parameters.
