HP Software product hierarchy updates

October 18, 2012: HP Software announces updates being made to its product hierarchy.

Once a year, each HP Software business unit revises its product hierarchy. This hierarchy is used to group products into Centers or Product Families. As of November 2012, the following changes will be effective:
  • The Quality Center product family will be renamed to ALM Center.
  • The following products will be moved to a different or new Center:
    • Adaptive Computing Moab, Cloud Service Automation, Cloud service Automation for Matrix, Continuous Delivery Automation and Database and Middleware Automation will be moved from Data Center Automation Center to Cloud Automation and Management Center.
    • Enterprise Collaboration will be moved from IT Performance Suite Foundation to IT Performance Suite Experience.
    • Live Network and Operations Orchestration will be moved from IT Performance Suite Foundation to Data Center Automation Center.
    • Problem Isolation, Service Health Analyzer, Service Level Management and System Availability Management will be moved from Service and Operations Bridge Center to Application Performance Management.
    • SiteScope will be moved from Systems Management Center to Application Performance Management.
  • Application Security Center will be merged with Software Security Center; Assessment Management Platform, License and Infrastructure Manager, QAInspect, WebInspect and WebInspect Enterprise will be moved from Application Security Center to Software Security Center.

Web sites and tools that reference or use this hierarchy will be updated to reflect these changes. This includes HP Alerts, which we use to provide you with notifications with regards to software updates, obsolescence and migration. You do not have to make any updates with regards to these changes; they will be applied to your profile automatically.

For products that are moving from one Center or Product Family to another, you may not be able to find the product where you used to find it in the hierarchy. For your convenience, we’re providing the product hierarchy for each HP Software business unit as it will be effective as of November 2012.
