HP Software Daylight Saving Time Configuration Management
Product Notes and Requirements
Configuration Management (OVCM) Configuration Management supports the Daylight Saving Time change.
Change Control Management Change Control Management 2.1 will support the Daylight Saving Time change. The Service Pack is available and uses JDK 1.4.2_12.Older versions of Change Control Management will not support the DST change.
Change and Configuration Manager Change and Configuration Manager supports the Daylight Saving Time change.
Enterprise Discovery There are two middleware components bundled with Enterprise Discovery (ED) that require updates: the Sun JVM and MySQL database. Both of these components have been updated in ED 2.1.1 and ED 2.0.4. Older versions should be upgraded to these or later versions of ED. In addition, DST-related operating system updates must be applied to the systems hosting the ED server, Management console, and all systems where scanners are run.

Impact:
Without patches, time cannot be accurately calculated for the period between the old and new DST start and end dates and results in a one hour shift, which can affect recorded response times tied to SLAs.
Peregrine Network Discovery (PND) PND Appliance: Network Discovery inclues the Linux operating system. Updated time zone information has been included with service pack 2 for Network Discovery 5.2.5. Older systems should be upgraded to Network Discovery 5.2.5 sp2 or migrated to Enterprise Discovery 2.1.1 or later. The JVM provided for download from the PND server does not have the DST changes and should not be used.
Management Console: DST-related operating system and JVM updates must be applied wherever the management console is run.
